COVID Safety Measures & Procedures

What we are doing to ensure our Centre is COVID Secure.

  • Promoting and facilitating 2m social distancing.
  • Carrying out enhanced cleaning regimes.
  • Ensuring strict conformance to mandatory guidance on face coverings.
  • Reducing/minimising capacity levels.
  • Maximising fresh air circulation.

We have taken a range of steps to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our visitors whilst ensuring a hassle-free experience, these include:

Traffic light system information – Please visit Touchwood when we are quiet if you can.  Information on our quietest times based on our COVID secure capacity are posted on our website.

Social Distancing and One Way directional Signage – Keep a safe distance from others by adhering to our 2m social distancing indicators and one-way directional floor markers to travel safely through the Centre.

Clean and protected environment – A strict enhanced cleaning regime is being fulfilled by our dedicated trained and competent Centre cleaning team following the latest preventative transmission government guidance.  Sanitising points have been made available at convenient points sign posted within the Centre.  Hygiene signage is located within all Centre welfare facilities to promote good hygiene practices to our visitors.

COVID secure capacity levels – Capacity levels are monitored by our Centre Safety Host and our stores will have limits on the number of people who can enter.  At times we may have to restrict access to the Centre and implement a queuing system.

Minimising contacts – We are accepting card payments only for the purchase of Touchwood gift cards and encouraging contactless card payments within our stores and hospitality venues.  Please check with them directly.

Well ventilated – Fresh air in our Centre is maximised by both natural and mechanical ventilation systems managed by our on-site maintenance team.

Face Coverings and when to wear them – In England you must wear a face mask in all indoor settings within our Centre.  We are asking people to follow the latest government guidance on face coverings.  The latest guidance can be found here  In the context of COVID a face covering must cover the face and nose.  Please be prepared and respect others by bringing a suitable face covering when you come to visit us.  You will be required to wear a face covering in our malls and our Safety Hosts will politely ask you to wear a face covering if you are not wearing one.  Our Safety Hosts are trained and appreciate there are valid exemptions for face coverings.  Please be kind and support our teams who are working hard to protect the safety or our visitors.’
