TOUCHWOOD’S URBAN BEACH IS BACK!
JOIN IN THE FUN WITH THE SAFARI PARTY
You won’t have to travel far for a beach escape this summer, as Touchwood’s Costa Del Solihull, is making a much-anticipated return!
From Saturday 6th July, local residents will once again be transported to sun, sand and serenity as Solihull becomes awash with African vibes thanks to this year’s safari theme! Throughout the summer, guests of all ages will be able to relax in the deckchairs, build sandcastles and enjoy a vibrant programme of activities and entertainment.
The beach festivities will begin with Touchwood’s search to find the next Solihull singing sensation, after teaming up with Solihull Summer Fest to launch the Touchwood Talent competition.
On Saturday 6th July between 11am and 3pm, budding solo and duo artists from across the region will be able to showcase themselves live on stage at the beach. One act will then be chosen to win the amazing opportunity to perform at Solihull Summer Fest!
To continue the beach fun, Touchwood will be hosting a special safari party from 12pm - 5pm on Saturday 13th July, with a series of sizzling events planned - all of which are free.
Throughout the day a children’s DJ will play cool sounds across the golden expanse; and when you’re not toe-tapping in the sand, guests will get the chance to meet Alex the Lion and Skipper the Penguin from Madagascar. The duo will be at the beach during intervals throughout the day, so be sure to stop by – and don’t forget to bring your camera!
And, what’s the best way to cool down on a Safari? Ice-cream, of course! Enjoy a little indulgence at the launch party whilst basking in the Solihull sunshine. After your sweet treat, head to our professional face painter to be transformed into a safari animal. Be sure to also check out our bubble artist; the kaleidoscopic display of impressive bubble art is sure to blow beach-goers away.
In addition, throughout the summer, younger guests can take part in Touchwood’s very own Safari Hunt, with a series of fantastic prizes up for grabs.
And it doesn’t stop there, as guests will be able to enjoy a fun-filled series of events each week at the Touchwood beach until the end of August. Here is a rundown of the family-friendly events taking place:
