Touchwood is committed to creating a sustainable environment and to achieve cultural social and economic enrichment. In order to reach our goals we have a vision to implement sustainable best practice, not just in the way we manage our centre but also how we engage with our community.

Environmental & Waste Management - Our vision is to achieve net zero waste to landfill by 2016 through improved segregation and recycling streams.  Our waste management plan concentrates on specific areas for improvement to ensure that we continue on track with our targets, and our facility team have been accredited with ISO 14001.

Energy /Carbon – Our Vision is to achieve net zero carbon status by 2016, through implementation of our energy resource initiatives plan.  We monitor and collate data to ensure that we operate efficiently, identifying trends for analysis and initiatives for further improvement so that we continue to reduce our energy and carbon emissions.

Water – We realise water is a precious commodity and are keen to reduce consumption  and implement rain water harvesting and grey water recycling initiatives.

Community – We are now creating an engagement plan through consultation with our community partners to enable us to identify philanthropic initiatives for sponsorship and local employment opportunities.

Biodiversity – We aim to achieve a net increase in the ecological value for Touchwood, carry out local research with community partners to identify if Touchwood have any priority species for protection.

Green Transport – A green transport plan is being developed to encourage guests and employees to choose alternative environmentally friendly transport options.
